Mary Stewart
Principal
Mary Stewart has spent more than twenty-five years serving the Kansas City Kansas School District. Prior to becoming Principal, she acted as Assistant Principal, Activities Coordinator, Secondary Math Curriculum Specialist, School Improvement Facilitator, Instructional Coach, and Math Teacher.
She possesses a Specialist degree in Education Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, a Master Degree in Urban Education from K-State, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Emporia University.



David Rivera
Assistant Principal Hospitality and Health Careers Communities
David Rivera is new to Wyandotte High School and new to the Kansas City Kansas Public Schools but he is not new to school administration. He has been a principal and assistant principal in both high school and middle school for over 20 years. Prior to administration, Mr. Rivera taught high school Health Education. His previous experiences have been in Texas and Louisiana. He believes that all students should “Aim High and Go Beyond” their expectations.
He possesses a Mid-Management and Superintendent Certification in Education Administration and a Masters Degree in Education Administration from the University of Texas Pan American and Brownsville. His Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education is from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education.
Rufus Black
Assistant Principal of Visual Arts and FAST communities
Mr. Rufus Black began his teaching career at Wyandotte High School 35 years ago where he taught Industrial Technology and coached basketball and cross country.
Mr. Black obtained his Bachelor Degree from the University of Southern Colorado and his Master Degree in Education Administration from the University of Missouri Kansas City.
Prior to returning to WHS, Mr. Black was Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Harmon High School and Principal at Fairfax Campus School.
Patricia Egans
Assistant Principal of Performing Arts, Business, and Global Communities
Ms. Patricia Egans has worked for the Kansas City Kansas School District for over twenty years. She possesses a Administration Certificate from the University of Missouri- Kansas City, a Master Degree in Sports Administration and Health from the University of Kansas, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Kansas Wesleyan University.
